Welcome to the Alta Mira Club!

frontThe Alta Mira Club was organized in 1907 and is the second oldest member of the Bay Area Federation of Women’s Clubs.

Our primary purpose is to; promote community cultural education; social welfare and to; participate in all civic activities.

Additionally, we strive to preserve the 1860 Ygnacio Peralta House, the first brick house built in Alameda County. The house was schedule for demolition, but in 1926 the club purchased the property and building to use as a clubhouse. The Ygnacio Peralta House is an authentic Italianate Victorian home and is a registered national and historic landmark, circa 1937.

The house is available for private events and cultural and educational programs. Please visit Site Rental for more information.
